Craft the Wing Pack in Palworld
How to unlock and craft the Wing Pack glider and its Wing Cell fuel, with the ingredients and where each comes from, checked against 1.0.5.
The Wing Pack is the glider added in Palworld 1.0 that lets you fly without a Pal. It burns a fuel item called a Wing Cell, and the wiki calls it the final glider you can unlock. This guide covers where it unlocks, the recipe, and where its heavier ingredients come from.
Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.
What the Wing Pack is
Pocketpair's 1.0 notes describe it as a new type of glider that "consumes Wing Cells to allow for highly free flight without relying on a Pal". The wiki and paldb.cc both list it as a Legendary glider that weighs 25. The wiki adds two details that paldb.cc does not mention: it frees a party slot, because you no longer need a flying Pal, and using it regenerates stamina.
Pocketpair's 1.0.4 notes fixed the turning guide icon for the Wing Pack, so any older screenshot of that icon may look different.
Unlock and recipe
Both sites agree that the Wing Pack unlocks at Technology level 80 and is crafted at the Ancient Workbench. The wiki lists the unlock as costing Ancient Technology Points, which paldb.cc does not mention. They list the same five ingredients:
- 30 Paldium Fragment
- 6 Paloxite Ingot
- 20 AI Core
- 20 Thermal Core
- 10 Ancient Civilization Core
The wiki says it cannot be bought from a merchant, and neither site lists an enemy drop, so crafting is the only route.
Where the ingredients come from
Ancient Civilization Cores. There is no way to craft these. They drop from certain bosses and Oil Rig chests, and the full list is in How to get Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld.
Paloxite Ingot. Paloxite is mined at the World Tree. The wiki lists the ingot as 2 Paloxite, 1 Soralite and 1 World Tree Holy Water made at the Ancient Furnace, and paldb.cc shows a recipe with the same three inputs. Pocketpair's notes say Soralite can only be mined in Sunreach. For mining Paloxite, see How to gather World Tree resources in Palworld.
AI Core and Thermal Core. The two databases list them as ingredients, but this guide does not cover how to make them because we have not checked those recipes against two sources. Check them in game.
Making Wing Cells
Wing Cells are the fuel. The wiki and paldb.cc agree they are crafted at the Ancient Workbench from Mythical Wood and Crude Oil, unlocked at Technology level 80. The two sites give the amounts the opposite way round, so read the numbers on the recipe screen. Sources for those materials are in How to farm Mythical Wood in Palworld and How to get Crude Oil in Palworld.
Pocketpair calls the Wing Pack a way to expand exploration, combat and base movement. Craft your Wing Cells before you leave the base, because the wiki says flying requires them.
On your hosted server
The Wing Pack is part of the base game, so nothing needs installing on your server. The World Settings tab has no setting for it. For the rates the tab does control, see Palworld server settings explained.
