What Palworld's Tides of Terraria update added: the six Terraria weapons, Hallowed armour, the dungeon, Moon Lord and breeding the Terraria Pals.

Updated 3 min read

Palworld's Tides of Terraria update brought Terraria weapons, armour, a dungeon and the Moon Lord raid boss into Palworld. This guide covers the Palworld side: what you can get, where it fits and what changed since. The items that went the other way, from Palworld into Terraria, are covered in the Terraria guides.

Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026; paldb.cc game data v1.0.5), October 2026.

What the update added

Pocketpair's v0.6.0 notes, released on 25 June 2025, list the collaboration as three things: a Terraria Dungeon with Terraria enemies where you collect materials to make Terraria equipment, six new Terraria weapons and seven new armour pieces, and the Moon Lord raid boss. All of it is part of the base game, so a hosted server needs no mod for it.

The weapons

paldb.cc tags six weapons with [Tides of Terraria]: Terra Blade, Terraprisma, Nightglow, Vortex Beater, Excalibur and Meowmere, plus a Legendary Meowmere variant. The wiki and paldb.cc agree on the attack of these at Common rarity unless noted:

WeaponAttack
Terra Blade425
Excalibur360
Vortex Beater300
Terraprisma90
Nightglow50
Meowmere (Legendary rarity only)200
Legendary Meowmere222

The attack figures are the base values, and each higher rarity raises them. For how these compare with the weapons added since, see New weapons in Palworld 1.0.

The armour

paldb.cc lists the Terraria armour as a Hallowed set made from Hallowed Bars, in a hood, headgear, helmet and mask, with a Hallowed Plate Mail body piece, plus two boss masks, the Eye of Cthulhu Mask and the Moon Lord Mask. It says each Hallowed head piece raises the damage of one weapon type: close range for Meowmere, Excalibur and Terra Blade, magic for Nightglow, ranged for Vortex Beater and summon for Terraprisma. Pocketpair's 0.6.4 notes mention the Hallowed Plate Mail, which gained Heat Resistance Lv1 and Cold Resistance Lv1.

The Terraria Dungeon

Pocketpair describes a unique dungeon featuring enemies from Terraria. Its 0.6.4 notes say a player who dies inside has items and Pals dropped at the dungeon entrance, and that the chests at the end now give legendary blueprints more often. The wiki calls the dungeon the Sealed Realm of Terraria and says the Celestial Sigil schematic comes from it. Pocketpair's 1.0 notes fixed some areas of the dungeon that players could enter by mistake.

Moon Lord

Moon Lord is a raid boss summoned at a Summoning Altar. The wiki and paldb.cc both describe the Celestial Sigil as the item you offer to the altar, and both link it to Hallowed Bars. Pocketpair's 0.6.4 notes added a stronger Moon Lord [Master] fought with a Celestial Sigil [Master]. The wiki and paldb.cc both show the normal fight dropping a Celestial Sigil [Master] every time, a Moon Lord Mask 10% of the time, and a Legendary Meowmere about 22% of the time.

Pocketpair's 1.0 notes record a fix for dedicated servers: after a summon the boss's hand eyes stayed closed, so it could not attack and players sometimes could not damage it. Use a server on 1.0 or later for the fight.

Breeding Terraria Pals

Pocketpair's 0.6.4 notes adjusted the breeding results when using Eye of Cthulhu. The Breeding tab on your server notes that the Terraria collab Pals never come from the normal rank formula, and breed only from their own kind or a unique combination. See Unique breeding combinations in Palworld.

Tip

The wiki and paldb.cc disagree on Moon Lord's level and part of its Normal reward list, so this guide quotes neither. Treat any level you read elsewhere as unconfirmed.
