Set up the All in One modded One Block pack
Install the All in One modded One Block pack on Forge 1.16.5 from the Modpacks tab with its server pack, then see what changes how it plays.
All in One is a modded One Block pack for Minecraft 1.16.5 on Forge. You progress by breaking a single block that moves through themed phases, each with its own blocks and mobs, from Flatland and Farmland up to the Nether, the End and a final phase that mixes them all. This guide installs it on your server from the Modpacks tab. The pack's full name on CurseForge is All in One [Modded One Block].
Checked against All in One 1.5.4b (server pack 1.5.4) on Forge 36.2.34 (Minecraft 1.16.5), October 2026.
What it needs
- Forge for Minecraft 1.16.5. The pack's manifest names Forge 36.2.34 and lists 113 mod files. The panel runs 1.16.5 on Java 8 by itself, so you do not pick a Java version.
- At least 4 GB of RAM. The author's page says to give a server at least 4 GB. The server pack's own
start_4GB.shalso starts Java with a 4 GB limit, though the panel writes its own launch script and sizes memory from your plan. Minecraft hosting lists the plans. - Which pack version players use. The newest file on CurseForge is 1.5.4b, while the server pack is All in One Server 1.5.4. The 1.5.4b changelog says it adds the client-side Connectivity mod, and that because of this "you can still connect to 1.5.4 servers". Players on either 1.5.4 or 1.5.4b can join.
Install it on your server
Installing a modpack reinstalls the whole server, so use a new server or one you can wipe.
- Open Backups and press Create backup if the server holds anything you want to keep.
- Open Modpacks, under Content in the left rail. Above the search box, choose the CurseForge chip.
- Search for
All in Oneand find the row named All in One [Modded One Block] with the 1.16.5 and Forge badges. Several other packs share the name. - Press Install. The window that opens names the loader and Minecraft version it will use.
- Leave Take a backup first ticked. If the window shows Keep my world, settings and player lists, leave it unticked. Unticked, the install replaces the old world and player lists, and the pack makes its own One Block world at the first Start. Ticked, it keeps whatever world is already there, which is a One Block world only if the last install was this pack. If the current world was saved by a newer Minecraft than 1.16.5, the window shows a note instead of the box, the pack starts a fresh world, and your current world goes into the backup.
- Tick Start the server when it's ready if you want it to boot by itself, and tick I agree to the Minecraft EULA if that box appears.
- Press and hold Install and reinstall until it fills, then watch the Console tab until the install finishes.
The panel prefers the newest file that has a dedicated server pack. For All in One that is the 1.5.4 file, whose server pack is called All in One Server 1.5.4. It carries its own Forge jar and 106 mod jars. That jar ships without its libraries, so the install runs Forge's installer for 36.2.34, the build the jar names, and the server then starts on it.
First start
Press Start on the Console tab and accept the Minecraft EULA if the panel asks. When the console prints a line containing For help, type, the server is up. Share the address shown under Server address in the left rail (Connect to your server for the first time).
What changes the way it plays
- Time limits in other dimensions. The author's page says the Time Is Up mod limits how long you can explore each dimension, and suggests mining your one block instead of exploring for long.
- Block breakers need End air bottles. The page says a KubeJS script makes crafts such as Botania's bore lens or Create's mechanical drill need End air bottles, and it slightly slows Botany Pot growth.
- The one block can be configured. The pack's
config/oneblock-common.tomlhas options such as"Auto placement"and"Place Circle". Edit it in File Manager, then restart.
Common problems
- The install window lists mods to download. Follow Modpack mods to download from CurseForge.
- The server stops with an out-of-memory error. Read the end of the log in the Console tab, then use Change plan in the Settings tab.
Installing a modpack replaces the server's current files. Keep the backup if you may want your old world back.
