Use the Recycler Station Plugin on Rust
Let Rust players buy base recyclers with INPUT and OUTPUT boxes using the paid Codefling plugin: permission, shop and config.
Recycler Station lets players buy a recycler for their own base. Items go into an INPUT box, the station feeds them to the recycler, and the results land in an OUTPUT box, so nobody has to carry materials back and forth by hand. There are three station types, and you decide the prices, the power needs and the speed. This guide covers getting it onto your server, the permission and commands, and the config.
Checked against Recycler Station 1.3.0 by Khaled on its Codefling page (released 11 October 2026), October 2026. The page marks it as compatible with both Oxide and Carbon.
Where to get it
Recycler Station is a paid plugin sold on Codefling, not on uMod. The Plugins tab searches uMod, so a search there won't find it. Install it by hand:
- Buy the plugin on its Codefling page and download its files. Upload what the page tells you to.
- On your Rust server, open the File Manager and go to
oxide/plugins(on Carbon,carbon/plugins). - Upload the plugin files there and keep their names as downloaded.
- Carbon loads a plugin it finds in its plugins folder by itself. If it doesn't load, Restart the server, or in the Console run
oxide.load <Name>on Oxide orc.load <Name>on Carbon, where<Name>is the plugin's name.c.reload <Name>reloads it on Carbon.
The server needs Oxide or Carbon first. How to install Oxide/uMod plugins on your Rust server covers that. The page says Image Library is not required, because the station artwork is in the download. Economics or Server Rewards is only needed if you pick one as the payment method.
Give players access
The plugin has one permission, recyclerstation.use. It allows a player to buy and place stations, and to pick one up. To give everyone on the server access, run this in the Console once the plugin has loaded:
oxide.grant group default recyclerstation.useOn Carbon, use c.grant group default recyclerstation.use.
How a player uses it
- Open the shop with
/rsor/rs buyand buy a station. - Place it within range of a Tool Cupboard the player is authorised on, leaving space for its boxes.
- Connect the industrial pipes by hand, fit the matching fuse if fuses are on, and connect power if it is needed.
- Put recyclable items in INPUT. The station sends the results to OUTPUT.
If OUTPUT is full, processing pauses and picks up again once there is space.
The three types and the shop
Basic, Standard and Advanced stations each have their own look, speed and fuse, bought separately. Fuses don't wear out. The page's default config shows these costs, in the shop currency (Scrap to start with): a Basic recycler 250, Standard 500, Advanced 1000, and fuses at 50, 100 and 250. Each player may buy 2 stations to start with, and the count resets on a map wipe. In the config, Purchases Per Player [ 0 = unlimited] set to 0 removes the limit.
Settings
Open Installed on the Plugins tab, press Config, edit, Save, then Reload plugin. The page's default config sets:
- Require Matching Fuse: true. The page says server owners can disable the fuse requirement.
- Power: Require Power For Basic And Standard is false. Advanced always needs power, at 20 rW by default.
- Recycling: Use Rust Speed [true = default, false = custom] is true. Set it to false and use Custom Speed Multiplier [ 1 = normal, 2 = double] to go faster or slower.
- Shop: Currency [Scrap, Economics, ServerRewards] starts as Scrap.
- Station Pickup: Pickup Fee is 250, charged in Fee Currency [None, Economics, ServerRewards], which is Economics to start with.
Common problems
- Pickup asks for a fee. The default fee is paid in Economics. The page says to set the fee currency to None for free pickup if you don't use a payment plugin.
- The station does nothing. Check the pipes, the fuse and any power it needs. The page says to connect the boxes with industrial pipes yourself.
- Nothing happens on
/rs. The player lacksrecyclerstation.use, or the plugin is still unloaded.
