Use the Health Boost Plugin on Rust

Change Rust player, medical item, building and deployable health from one panel with the paid Codefling plugin and Image Library.

Updated 4 min read

Health Boost puts health-related numbers for your whole server in one in-game panel. An admin can change player health, food and water, medical items, consumables, building health and defensive deployables, and set separate values for Raidable Bases difficulties, without editing config files by hand. This guide covers getting it onto your server, the dependency it needs, the commands and what it can change.

Checked against Health Boost 1.2.0 by Khaled on its Codefling page (released 15 June 2026), October 2026. The page marks it as compatible with both Oxide and Carbon.

Where to get it

Health Boost is a paid plugin sold on Codefling, not on uMod. The Plugins tab searches uMod, so a search there won't find it. It also needs another plugin, so there are two parts.

  1. Install the dependency first. The page lists Image Library as required. It is on uMod, so open the Plugins tab, search the Store for ImageLibrary and press Install. How to install Oxide/uMod plugins on your Rust server has the steps.
  2. Buy Health Boost on its Codefling page and download its files. Upload what the page tells you to.
  3. On your Rust server, open the File Manager and go to oxide/plugins (on Carbon, carbon/plugins), and Upload the plugin files there with their names unchanged.
  4. Carbon loads a plugin it finds in its plugins folder by itself. If it doesn't load, Restart the server, or in the Console run oxide.load <Name> on Oxide or c.load <Name> on Carbon, where <Name> is the plugin's name. c.reload <Name> reloads it on Carbon.

The page also lists Raidable Bases as an optional extra: if you run it, Health Boost has separate settings for each of its difficulties.

Commands

CommandWhat it does
/hbOpens the admin control panel
/hbaddAdmin command: adds the entity you are looking at to the Custom Deployables list
/hbremoveAdmin command: removes the entity you are looking at from that list

The page doesn't list any permission names for this plugin, so use these commands from an admin account.

What you can change

Health Boost covers a lot of ground. The page groups it like this:

  • Players. Custom maximum health, respawn health, and food and water capacities. It can also use optional rank-based profiles, including VIP1, VIP2 and VIP3.
  • Medical items. Bandages, medical syringes and medkits, with custom healing values, and control over bleeding, radiation, poison and heal-over-time.
  • Food and drink. Custom healing amounts, calories, hydration and poison, set per item, for all the major consumables. It also supports healing other players.
  • Building health. Multipliers for foundations, walls, floors, roofs, stairs, frames, triangles, half walls, window walls and door frames, with separate multipliers for twig, wood, stone, metal and armoured.
  • Deployable health. Tool cupboards, auto turrets, shotgun traps, flame turrets, SAM sites, doors and gates, barricades, window bars, shutters and more, each with its own multiplier.
  • Raidable Bases. Independent building and deployable multipliers for Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert and Nightmare.

Setting it up for the first time

Open the panel with /hb, change one section at a time, and test in the game before moving to the next. A quick test with a second account shows you what players will feel.

Use /hbadd for a deployable that isn't on the list. Look straight at the entity, then type the command. /hbremove takes it off the list the same way.

Common problems

  1. /hb does nothing. Check the plugin has loaded, with a Loaded plugin line in the Console, and use an admin account.
  2. It won't load. The page lists Image Library as required. Make sure ImageLibrary is installed, then restart.
  3. A setting doesn't match this guide. Plugins change between versions. This guide was checked against 1.2.0.
