Install Macaw's Furniture on your server
Install Macaw's Furniture 3.4.2 on a NeoForge 26.3 server, pick the right loader file and get a first chair in game with /give.
Macaw's Furniture adds furniture for interiors: wardrobes, drawers, cabinets, desks, chairs, tables, counters, bookshelves, stools, sinks in oak and the other wood types, plus couches and chaises in dye colours. The project page says pieces can be stacked and merged to make them wider or taller, and that you can store items in various pieces. Modrinth lists it as required on both the client and the server.
Checked against Macaw's Furniture 3.4.2 on NeoForge 26.3, October 2026.
What you need
- A loader and version with a build. Version 3.4.2 has Forge and NeoForge files for Minecraft 26.3, 26.2 and 26.1, and Fabric files for 26.3 and 26.1. The Fabric file for 26.2 is labelled 3.4.1 on Modrinth. This guide used NeoForge 26.3, whose jar declares no other mods it needs.
- Fabric API on a Fabric server, which Modrinth lists as required for the Fabric files.
- The same mod on every player's game, for the same loader and Minecraft version.
Switch the server to NeoForge 26.3
- Open JAR Manager, under More in the left rail.
- Set Server software to NeoForge and Minecraft version to 26.3, then press Apply change.
- Leave Take a backup first ticked, press and hold Confirm & reinstall, and wait for the console to finish.
The panel picks Java 25 for 26.x. Your world is kept, but configuration files may be reset. Change your Minecraft version or mod loader has the full steps, and a backup from the Backups tab first is sensible.
Install it
- Open the Mods tab under Content and keep the Modrinth chip selected.
- Search for Macaw's Furniture and press Install.
- If the window lists anything under "Needs", choose Install all. On NeoForge it should not.
- Go to Console, press Start and accept the EULA prompt the first time.
Open the Installed view afterwards. The mod should have no Failed to load badge. Doing it by hand also works: put the jar for your loader in the mods folder with the File Manager or SFTP and restart.
Check it in game
The mod's language file has 785 entries. Furniture is named per wood type, and couches and chaises per dye colour. To get a first piece, craft a chair or ask for one as an operator:
- The oak chair recipe in the jar uses two oak logs, an oak slab and two oak fences.
/give @s mcwfurnitures:oak_chairgives you one directly.
The jar has a container screen and open and close sounds for drawers and cabinets. The project keeps every crafting recipe as a picture on its GitHub wiki, linked from the Modrinth page.
Common problems
- The server stops and names
fabric-api. You installed the Fabric build. Add Fabric API from the Mods tab, or use the NeoForge file on a NeoForge server. - Players are refused. Their game must have the same mod for the same loader and Minecraft version. Join a modded server from your launcher covers the player side.
- No results for your version. There is no build for it. Change the version in JAR Manager.
- Other load errors. Fix Minecraft mod and plugin load errors shows how to read the log.
