Get Coralum Ingots in Palworld
The Coralum Ingot recipe, where Coralum Ore comes from (Whalaska, Neptilius, salvage) and what the ingots craft, checked against Palworld 1.0.5.
Coralum Ingots are the energy-resistant alloy behind several late-game weapons, saddles and workshop buildings in Palworld. You smelt them from Coralum Ore and Coal, so the real work is collecting enough ore. This guide covers the recipe, where Coralum Ore comes from and what the ingots are used for.
Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.
The recipe
The wiki and paldb.cc agree on the recipe: 2 Coralum Ore and 5 Coal make 1 Coralum Ingot at the Gigantic Furnace. paldb.cc also lists the Ancient Furnace, and shows a Technology unlock of level 62 for the recipe. The wiki gives no unlock level, so confirm it in the Technology menu.
The wiki describes the ingot as an alloy that is "highly resistant to energy, making it ideal for crafting weapons". paldb.cc describes it as made from Coralum Ore "found on the ocean floor".
Where Coralum Ore comes from
Both sites say you cannot buy the ore from a merchant. These are the sources they agree on:
- Whalaska and Whalaska Ignis. Each drops 2 to 3 Coralum Ore at a 100% rate.
- Neptilius. It drops 10 Coralum Ore at a 100% rate. The wiki says it appears in the wild only as an Alpha Pal, in the Isle of the Glacial Core area, but that is one source.
- Salvaging near Feybreak. Both sites list salvage in the sea near Feybreak Island as a source.
paldb.cc also lists fishing with a Powerful Fishing Magnet, and says the ore "Can be retrieved from the depths with a magnet and fishing rod". The wiki does not list that route, so treat it as a lead rather than a sure thing.
Each ingot takes 2 ore, so 50 ingots need 100 ore. A Neptilius drops 10 ore per kill against 2 to 3 from a Whalaska.
What the ingots are used for
The wiki's list of uses and paldb.cc's examples overlap on these items, which all take Coralum Ingots:
- Megaboost Gun
- Ultra Grappling Gun
- Energy Shotgun
- Rocket Launcher
- Charge Rifle
- Overheat Rifle
- Advanced Workshop
The wiki also lists several Pal saddles, the Ancient Furnace, the Large Fishing Pond and the Advanced Fishing Rod (Depresso). The amounts differ per recipe, so read the recipe on screen. For the rod, see Get the Depresso fishing rod in Palworld.
On your hosted server
Coralum is part of the base game, so nothing needs installing. In the World Settings tab, the Rates group has an Enemy loot rate slider described as items dropped by defeated enemies, and a Gathering rate slider described as materials from trees, ore and bushes. The rest of the rates are in Palworld server settings explained.
