Capture and Ride a Jetragon in Palworld
Where the level 70 Alpha Jetragon spawns, its capture rate, the level 70 riding unlock and Pal Gear, and how to breed more, checked against 1.0.5.
Jetragon is Palpedia number 202, a Dragon-type Pal that can be ridden as a flying mount. In the wild it appears only as a level 70 Alpha. This guide covers where to find it, how its capture rate compares, what you unlock to ride it and how to get more once you own one.
Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.
Where to find it
The wiki and paldb.cc agree on the spawn: a level 70 Alpha Jetragon in the Sunreach area at about (-553, -1332) on the map. paldb.cc names the spot The Azure Tapestry. The wiki adds that it is aggressive and attacks the player on sight, and its history says the wild spawn is level 70 in 1.0. The same page says the encounter moved from Mount Obsidian to Sunreach in 1.0, so older guides that send you to Mount Obsidian are out of date.
Capture it
Both sites give the capture rate multiplier as 1 for a normal Jetragon and 0.7 for the Alpha, so the boss is harder to catch than a regular one. The wiki and paldb.cc do not list a sphere type or a health threshold, so use the usual capture routine and bring spheres you trust.
Unlock riding
Jetragon can be ridden as a flying mount, and its Partner Skill, Aerial Missile, lets you fire a missile launcher rapidly while mounted. Pocketpair's 1.0 notes say the skill's power was increased and its cooldown shortened, and that Jetragon's maximum stamina was raised.
Riding is tied to Pal Gear. Pocketpair's 1.0.3 notes changed the unlock level of "some Jetragon-related technologies" from 79 to 70 and reduced the materials required for "the Pal Gear used to ride Jetragon". paldb.cc shows the unlock at level 70 for Jetragon's Missile Launcher, an item it says makes Jetragon fire missiles when ridden, and lists its materials as Leather, Soralite Ingot, AI Core and Paldium Fragment, crafted at a Pal Gear Workbench or the Ancient Workbench. Only paldb.cc lists the recipe, so this guide quotes no amounts. Pocketpair's 1.0 notes say Soralite can only be mined in Sunreach.
The wiki and paldb.cc both give a running speed of 1700 and a riding sprint speed of 3300.
Breed more Jetragon
Jetragon hatches from a Huge Dragon Egg. The wiki and paldb.cc both list a unique combination of Jetragon and Jetragon that produces a Jetragon. Our Breeding tab can check a pairing before you commit. Breeding Farm basics and the mutation chance are in How to breed mutated Pals in Palworld.
Pocketpair's 1.0.3 notes changed the unlock level of some Jetragon-related technologies from 79 to 70, so a source that still says 79 may predate that patch.
On a hosted server
Jetragon is part of the base game, so your server needs no mod. The World Settings tab has Capture rate, which Pocketpair's server settings page describes as a "capture rate multiplier". Raising it makes every capture easier, so change it only if your whole group wants that. For the rest, see Palworld server settings explained.
