Get $5 off for an honest review

Post an honest review from your dashboard and get $5 off your next renewal, whatever you rate us. How it works, and where your review shows.

Updated 2 min read

Post an honest review of Play Your Way from your dashboard and we take $5 off your next renewal. You get the $5 whatever you rate us, good or bad.

Who can review

Anyone whose first paid server has been running for at least a day. It's one review per account, and one per payment card.

How to post a review

  1. Open your dashboard. The review popup appears once your first server has been running for a day. If you closed it, go to Billing and select Write a review.
  2. Pick a star rating from 1 to 5.
  3. Add a few words about it if you like. They're optional: your stars alone are a review and get the same $5.
  4. Choose how your name shows: your first name and last initial, a nickname, or Verified customer with no name at all.
  5. Select Post review.
Tip

If you close the popup before posting, what you wrote stays on that device, so you can pick up where you left off.

When the $5 comes off

The credit goes on the next renewal of one of your servers by itself, and Billing shows which server and the date. On the invoice it appears as Review credit.

  • If that renewal is under $5, the rest comes off the one after.
  • If you have no active server, the credit waits for one for up to 12 months.
  • The credit has no cash value and can't be transferred.

Where your review shows

If you write a few words, your review appears on our reviews page with your rating, your words, the name you chose, the game you host and the month. Stars on their own count towards the average there, with no name shown. Every review there is tagged Credited, because each one earned the $5.

We publish every review except ones that break our review rules, and we never edit what you write. A review with a link, contact details or strong language waits for a quick check before it goes up, and it keeps its credit either way.

Edit or remove your review

Go to Billing and find Review credit:

  • Edit review changes your rating, your words or how your name shows. Your credit stays as it is.
  • Remove review takes it down for good. You keep the credit, and you can't post another one.
