How to access the Enshrouded Hollow Halls

Start the Springlands Hollow Halls with the Alchemist, then unlock the rest with the Collector and a key for each.

Updated 4 min read

The wiki describes the Hollow Halls as underground dungeons where the Hollow, a cursed undead underclass, were locked away. There is one in each of six regions. The Springlands Hollow Halls start with a quest from the Alchemist, and the rest open through the Collector and a key for each. This guide shows how to reach them and in what order.

Checked against Enshrouded 1.0 (hotfix 1.0.0.3 of 21 October 2026), October 2026.

Start in the Springlands

Balthazar, the Alchemist, gives you Explore The Hollow Halls, and MetaBot.GG's 1.0 quest data lists the same giver. The wiki says it comes once you have finished Growing Stronger Together and Carpentry Assistance. The entrance is in the south west corner of the map.

Expect plenty of Hollow enemies inside. Barrier doors block some routes, and the wiki says the tally marks on each one tell you how many runes to collect. Some runes sit out in the open before the door, while enemies marked with a rune symbol carry the rest. Touch the save points as you go: Gamer Guides says they act as respawn points if you die.

At the end of the Springlands Hollow Halls you free Alden Crowley, the Collector. Summon him to your base. He crafts the Bone Keys and gives the quests for the other Halls.

The next Hollow Halls, in order

Each later Hollow Halls needs a key crafted at the Collector. The wiki lists the first three of these quests, and MetaBot.GG, which reads the 1.0 game files, lists the Collector's quests for the Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin as well:

Hollow HallsCollector's questWhat it needs
RevelwoodEctoplasm Press For The CollectorRevelwood Bone Key
Nomad HighlandsThe Nomad Highlands Hollow HallsNomad Highlands Bone Key
KindlewastesThe Kindlewastes Hollow HallsKindlewastes Bone Key
Albaneve SummitsThe Albaneve Summits Hollow HallsA key crafted with the Collector
Veilwater BasinThe Veilwater Basin Hollow HallsA key crafted with the Collector

The wiki lists the Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes quests as needing the one before them finished, so you clear the Halls in that order. The Bone Key amounts differ from guide to guide, so check the Collector's menu for what you need. In 1.0 Keen added a tooltip to the Hollow Hall journal entries and to the Bone Key to remind you to keep some resources back to craft the key for the next Hollow Halls.

Tip

Go with friends. Keen's notes say the Hollow Halls are best visited with dependable friends, and the wiki says a well-geared character can complete them solo.

Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin

Keen's 1.0 notes say the gates to the Hollow Halls in the Albaneve Summits and the Veilwater Basin have opened. The wiki's Hollow Halls page, last edited in January 2026, still calls both unimplemented, so go by the 1.0 game data instead. MetaBot.GG lists a Collector quest for each, with a recommended level of 32, and the first step of each is to craft a key with the Collector. The quest then points you to the Hollow Halls in that region.

What waits inside

The wiki says the final fight in a Hollow Halls usually includes one or more Hollow Cyclops, and that the Kindlewastes Halls have also been invaded by the Shroud. Keen rebalanced the cost of opening the chests in the end rooms in 1.0, cutting it by 25%. Ectoplasm Fragments drop here too: see How to get Ectoplasm Fragments in Enshrouded.

On your server

The Collector lives in your base, and on a Play Your Way server only the Admin role can place a Flame Altar to begin with, so set the base up with the admin password first.
