How much RAM does SkyFactory 4 need on a server?

SkyFactory 4 runs on Forge 1.12.2. We recommend 6 GB RAM for a small group - modded packs are RAM-hungry, and 4 GB is the practical floor. The recommended plan beside this page is sized for it. Players join from Minecraft: Java Edition, since Bedrock players can't join a modded Java server.

How do I install SkyFactory 4?

Can I add mods or switch packs later?
