Satisfactory Factory Stats, Planner and Map
Read your Satisfactory factory from your server's dashboard: Factory Stats and its History, the Factory Planner and the Interactive Map.
Three tabs under Factory in your dashboard's menu read your world's saves and show you what your factory is doing: Factory Stats, Factory Planner and Interactive Map. This guide explains what each one shows and how to use them together to find and fix a slow line.
Pick the save to read
All three tabs read a save, not the running game, so they work while the server is stopped too. At the top of any of them, World save lists your saves, newest first, with how long ago each was made. Pick one once and all three tabs show it.
A new save is read by itself whenever the game makes one, which is every 5 minutes while someone plays, so the numbers are never far behind. Refresh reads the save again now. A big factory takes a few seconds to read.
Factory Stats
Factory Stats has four sections: Overview, Production, Production lines and History.
Overview
When the server is running, a Live line at the top shows the world, its phase and tier, how many players are on, how fast the server is running and the hours played. The rest of the page comes from the save:
- Power used, Machines running, Average productivity and Somersloops found, across the top.
- Top products: what your factory makes most of each minute.
- Power by generator: each kind of generator's capacity, what it's using now and what your factory would need running flat out.
- World progress: the Somersloops, Mercer Spheres, Blue, Yellow and Purple Power Slugs and drop pods you've found, out of how many the world has.
Needs attention lists what's holding your factory back, read from the machines in your save. Each row says what's wrong and has a button straight to the fix:
When nothing is wrong it says Nothing needs attention.
Production
Every item your factory makes and uses each minute, in one of two layouts:
- Resource stats: a card per item, grouped by stage, with a meter showing whether you make more than you use or fall short.
- Factory flow: one picture from raw resources on the left to power and storage on the right. Hover an item to follow it through.
Show narrows the list to Not reaching, Short, Piling up, Balanced or Not moving. Click any item to see how much is made and used a minute, where it Comes from and where it Goes to, with Show on map and Plan this.
Production lines
Every group of machines on one recipe, slowest first, with the reason each one is slow. The reasons come from the machines themselves: a full output means the line is backed up, and an empty input means it's waiting for something. Show filters the list to Backed up, Short of an input, Not connected, Slow or Running well.
Open a line to see why it's slow, what goes in and out each minute against its full speed, its clock speed, Somersloops, power and machines, with Show on map and Plan this.
History
Charts of your world over time: Power (used and capacity), Machines (built and running) and What the factory makes, where Item picks the item to chart. With more than one world on the server, World picks which.
The panel keeps one point for each hour a world is played, from its newest save, and after 90 days one point a day. It does this by itself in the background, so you don't need the tab open. The charts start once there are two points an hour of play apart. While the world is paused because nobody is on, no new saves are made, so no new points are added.
Factory Planner
Pick what you want to make and how many a minute, and the planner lays out every step down to the raw resources.
- In Make, pick an item, and set the Rate a minute.
- Recipe shows the recipe it uses: click it to pick another, standard or alternate. A recipe your world hasn't unlocked yet is marked, and the planner tells you how many in the plan aren't unlocked.
- Switch on Use what I already make to count what your factory already makes spare, so the plan only adds what's missing.
Across the top you'll see the Machines to build, the Power they add on top of what you use now, the Power Shards for any clock above 100%, what comes From your factory and how much of the item You make now.
Switch the plan between a List (the raw resources, with Show on map to find nodes, then the build steps in the order you build them, ending with your goal) and, on a bigger screen, a Board: drag a step or a single machine to move it, and each belt shows its rate and the belt or pipe it needs. Fit and tidy lays it out again.
Edit settings opens Plan settings, which chooses the miners, the purity of the nodes to plan on (or Nearest on my map), the fastest belt and pipe, how far machines may be clocked (one Power Shard for every 50% above 100%), and Pick unlocked recipes first. The settings start from what your world has unlocked.
Saving plans
Save keeps a plan with your server, under a name you choose. The plan menu at the top, which shows the plan's name (or New plan), lists your Recent plans to open one again, and Manage all plans lists every plan to rename, duplicate or delete. Everyone who can open your server's dashboard sees the same plans and can change or delete them. Deleting a plan can't be undone.
Plan this anywhere in Factory Stats opens a new plan for that item, recipe and rate. If your current plan has unsaved changes, the planner asks before it replaces them.
Interactive Map
Your world from above: your bases as you built them, every machine at its real spot, the resource nodes, and what's still out there to collect. Hover anything for its details, and click to pin it. A pinned line has Open in Production lines.
The Layers button beside the zoom buttons chooses what the map shows:
The key shows each node's purity (Impure, Normal or Pure), the nodes your miners are on, whether a machine is running, backed up or waiting for input, and the belts, pipes and rails. On a phone, Key opens it. The home button beside the zoom buttons, Back to your bases, brings the view home.
Show on map in Factory Stats or the planner opens the map with the right layer on, zooms to what you asked about and pins a summary of it.
Find and fix a slow line
The three tabs work best together:
- Open Factory Stats and look at Needs attention, or Production lines sorted slowest first.
- Open the slow line to see why. Show on map finds its machines in your world.
- Press Plan this to see what it would take to run it at full speed, with Use what I already make on.
- Build it in the game, and check Factory Stats again after the next save.
