View Player Boss Damage in Terraria
See how much damage each player dealt in recent boss fights with the /bossdamage chat command added in Terraria 1.4.5.
Terraria 1.4.5 added a boss damage tracker, so a group no longer has to guess who did the work in a fight. The result is one chat command away. This guide covers how to read it on PC, what it lists, and how it fits a multiplayer server.
Checked against Terraria 1.4.5.8 on PC, October 2026.
What the tracker does
Re-Logic's 1.4.5 notes describe it as a boss damage tracker that tracks how much damage each player deals during a boss fight. It is built into the game and needs no mod or plugin.
View the results
- Finish the boss fight, or the event, you want to look at.
- Open the chat box in game.
- Type
/bossdamageand send it.
The notes say to type it in the chat "to view the result of the last fight(s)". The official Terraria wiki lists the command with the description "Shows recent boss kill contribution", and says it displays the time and damage ranking for recent boss fights or events, listed by player.
Run the command soon after the fight. It reports only recent fights, so an old one may no longer be listed.
What the list tells you
Per the wiki, each fight shows the players ranked by the damage they dealt, along with the time the fight took. In a group, that makes it easy to settle who carried a fight, compare builds on the same boss, or see how much a new weapon changed the result.
Using it on your server
The wiki lists /bossdamage among the chat commands that all players can use on vanilla servers. Every player on the server types it in their own chat window, and the list covers all the players in the fight.
TShock servers know the command too. TShock's own source lists it with the same description and no permission attached, so any player can use it. We also ran bossdamage in the panel Console on a TShock server, and it answered "No recent boss kill data found." when no boss had been fought. Group permissions are covered in Terraria TShock admin commands and groups.
New to the server? Terraria getting started and How to join your Terraria server cover the first start and joining by IP.
If nothing shows
- The command only exists in 1.4.5 and later. Update Terraria on every player's PC, and make sure the server runs the same version.
- Fight a boss first. The command reports recent boss fights and events, so a world where none has happened has nothing to show.
- Check the spelling: it is one word,
/bossdamage, with the slash.
