Use Pal Skins in Palworld
How to build the Pal Dressing Facility, what a Pal skin needs and which in-game skin batches exist, checked against Palworld 1.0.5.
Pal skins change how a Pal looks without changing what it can do. You apply them at a building called the Pal Dressing Facility. This guide covers what you need to build, what a skin requires and how skins reach your account.
Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.
Build the Pal Dressing Facility
Pocketpair added skins in v0.3.1 with a new building, the Pal Dressing Facility, and its notes say you can change a Pal's skin there. palworld.wiki.gg and paldb.cc agree on the cost: 10 Stone and 10 Paldium Fragment. Both sites give an unlock level of 2, and paldb.cc files it under the Pal category of buildings.
Place it in your base. The wiki says it can go anywhere in the build area and does not affect base efficiency or Pal behaviour.
Apply a skin
Open the facility and pick a Pal and a skin. paldb.cc lists a skin per Pal, plus a Reset option that returns a Pal to its default look. Neither site describes the exact button layout, so follow the on-screen prompts.
Pocketpair's notes for the Christmas, Spring Festival and v0.6.0 skins all carry the same condition: you must own the Pal to equip its skin. Capture or hatch the Pal first, then dress it.
Where skins come from
Both sources say skins obtained inside the game and from outside it can be applied at the facility. Pocketpair's notes describe several in-game batches:
- six Christmas skins in the Feybreak update (v0.4.11), available to all players and including Party Night Depresso
- five Spring Festival skins in v0.4.14
- three popularity poll skins in v0.6.0: Crown Chillet, Cyber Jetragon and Desert King Anubis
Pocketpair's v0.4.11 notes also say limited-time skins were redistributed to all players, so check which ones your account already has. This guide does not cover the skins that come with outside purchases.
The wiki says changing a Pal's appearance does not affect gameplay, stats or abilities, so you can dress your best worker without losing anything.
On your server
Skins are cosmetic and part of the base game. The World Settings tab has no option for them. If a skin does not appear for a player, confirm they own the Pal in question, because that is the condition Pocketpair's notes repeat. For help with the server itself, see Palworld getting started.
