Summon the Bellanoir Raid Boss in Palworld
How to unlock the Summoning Altar, find Bellanoir slab fragments and run the Bellanoir raid in Palworld, with what to protect on a server.
Bellanoir is a raid boss in Palworld that you summon at a Summoning Altar. You need a Summoning Altar and a Bellanoir's Slab. This guide covers how to unlock the altar, where the slab comes from, what the fight involves and what to protect on a hosted world.
Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.
What you need
- A Summoning Altar. palworld.wiki.gg and paldb.cc agree it costs 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments to build. paldb.cc lists the unlock at Technology level 33 and the wiki calls it an Ancient Technology unlock. The wiki says it can only be built inside a Pal Base and recommends an open area for the fight.
- A Bellanoir's Slab. Both sources say one slab is made from 4 Bellanoir's Slab Fragments, and that a Primitive Workbench is enough to craft it.
- A base you can afford to damage. More on this below.
Pocketpair introduced the Bellanoir raid boss in v0.2.0.6, and palworld.wiki.gg dates the altar, slab and fragments to the same release.
Where the fragments come from
palworld.wiki.gg says raid slab fragments come from treasure chests and enemy faction bases (expeditions apply to the Hartalis fragment only), and that Bellanoir's come from dungeon and Wildlife Sanctuary chests. Its fragment page adds that they are most often found in dungeon chests and also turn up in open-world treasure chests. paldb.cc's v1.0.5 data lists chests, enemy camps and expedition rewards for the Bellanoir fragment, which the wiki does not mention. Neither source gives a rate you can plan around, so expect to clear several before you have four.
Summon the boss
- Build the Summoning Altar. Pocketpair's 1.0 notes moved it in the build menu from the "Other" category to "Pal", so look there.
- Craft the slab from 4 fragments.
- Offer the slab at the altar. The wiki says you can fight at your base or in the Raid Area, and that the Raid Area is the better choice because the boss can damage a base. It dates the Raid Area to 0.7.0, and Pocketpair's 1.0 notes still refer to it.
- Defeat the boss inside the time limit. Both sources give you 10 minutes. If you run out, the boss despawns and the raid fails.
Only one raid boss can be active at a time. Pocketpair's 1.0 notes put the limit at one raid boss battle per guild.
The wiki says bosses can cause mass damage to bases, and paldb.cc says a failed raid can end with your Palbox destroyed. Do not summon at a base you are not prepared to lose. Take a backup first with Create and restore backups.
What it drops
Both sources list a Training Manual (XL) and an Ancient Civilization Core among the rewards, along with a Multiclimate Undershirt +1 and an egg. paldb.cc names the egg as a Huge Dark Egg and says it only may drop, while the wiki says one egg is added to your inventory. Check what you receive in game.
The two sources disagree on Bellanoir's level, with each showing both 30 and 35 on different pages, so this guide does not give one.
On your server
Raid bosses are part of the base game and work on a hosted world. The World Settings tab has a Base raids switch, whose description in the panel is "Enemy waves can attack your bases." (Pocketpair's docs say only "Enable Invader"). That is a separate feature from a boss you summon yourself, and Pocketpair's settings list has no option for the altar. For the rest of the tab, see Palworld server settings explained.
