Fast Travel to Your Base in Palworld
How fast travel to a base works in Palworld 1.0 with Great Eagle Statues and towers, plus the Fast travel setting if players cannot use it.
Palworld's way to teleport to a base is fast travel: you open the map, pick a base, and you are there. Since 1.0 it works from more places than it used to. This guide covers how to fast travel to a base, what you need to unlock, and what to check when a player on your server cannot do it.
Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.
How fast travel works
The wiki describes fast travel as teleporting from one landmark to another. The landmarks are the Galeclaw statues, which the in-game Survival Guide calls Great Eagle Statues. A statue that glows orange has not been used yet. Walk up to it and activate it, and the glow turns blue to show it is unlocked. After that you can interact with an unlocked statue, pick a destination on the map, and travel. The wiki says a destination can be a base or another unlocked statue.
The wiki also says that once you set up a Palbox, you can fast travel to that base.
Fast travel from inside a base
Pocketpair's 1.0 notes changed how this works near your base: "While within base range, players can now fast travel directly from the map. You can now travel between bases or to Great Eagle Statues without interacting with the Palbox at a base."
So when you are standing in one base, open the map and choose another base or a statue. You no longer have to walk to the Palbox first.
Fast travel from out in the world
Away from your bases, you need a travel point to start from. The wiki says each Tower has a fast travel point on top, and usually one on the ground nearby. The top one opens when you defeat the boss inside. Pocketpair's 1.0 notes add that Watchtowers serve as fast travel points once you access them, and that new fast travel points were added in the 1.0 map.
Pick the nearest unlocked point, then choose your base as the destination. If you have a base out at sea, that works too: Pocketpair fixed a display problem that showed after fast travelling to an offshore base.
After a death
The wiki says bases are always a respawn option, and Pocketpair's 1.0 notes say you can now choose fast travel points other than your base or the starting location when you respawn.
If a player cannot fast travel
The wiki says fast travel cannot be used if it is disabled in the world settings. On our servers that switch is the Fast travel toggle in the World & Misc group of the World Settings tab. Its key is bEnableFastTravel, and Palworld ships with it on. Save the change and restart the server for it to apply. The wiki also says combat does not block fast travel.
A statue only counts as unlocked once its glow has turned from orange to blue, so activate each one you pass.
