Legendary is the top quality an Enshrouded weapon can have, and you cannot craft it. This guide covers how legendary weapons drop, which named unique weapons the wiki lists by region and what you need to bring out their best.

What legendary means
Quality runs from Common up to Legendary. Keen Games' notes say that self-crafted equipment is always Rare and that higher quality, up to Legendary, has to be found in the world. Keen also says quality does not change an item's base stats. It only sets how many upgrade levels the item offers.
Where legendary weapons drop
Keen's notes describe where they come from:
- Chests. A 2025 update reworked all treasure chest drop chances to raise the chance of epic and legendary weapons, especially in gold chests. The 1.0 notes add 5% to the chance of legendary items in every chest, and say wooden chests now have a chance to hold a weapon or armour piece at silver-chest level.
- Enemies. Keen's notes say enemy weapon drops scale with the enemy's level and range in rarity from Common all the way up to Legendary.
- A cue when it happens. Keen's 2025 notes say a legendary find brings up a short on-screen message, and enemies holding weapon gems or Legendary Runes are marked with a special effect.
Keen's 2025 notes say a looted chest stays empty after you reload or restart the server and refills only after a fixed stretch of in-game time. That is worth knowing on a server: restarting does not reroll a chest.
Named unique weapons
The official wiki keeps a Unique Equipment list that groups named items by region, and its weapon pages tag them as lore weapons that can also be crafted. A few examples from the official wiki's list:
The official wiki's list also names weapons for Kindlewastes, Albaneve Summits, Veilwater Basin and Cinder's Cradle. Some of the wiki's weapon pages, such as Hailscourge and Dragon Sword, say where it lies.
Making the most of one
Keen says Legendary Runes unlock the higher-tier perks of legendary weapons, and that elite and boss enemies drop them. The official wiki and MetaForge say the Blacksmith can also craft them from ordinary Runes. The Enshrouded upgrade equipment guide covers the upgrade steps.

On your server
The server's Difficulty preset is on the Difficulty and chat card of the Server Settings tab. The tab describes Relaxed as having fewer enemies and more loot. Read Enshrouded server settings before you change it. If you do not have a server yet, see Enshrouded server hosting.
