Palworld World Options Beyond the Settings Tab
Palworld server settings Pocketpair documents that the World Settings tab leaves out, with its descriptions and how to change them by hand.
The World Settings tab in your Palworld panel shows 68 keys in seven groups, which covers most of what servers change. Pocketpair's configuration page for server version 1.0.4 lists 96. Of those, 13 are managed by the Startup tab, 59 are on the tab, and 24 are on neither. This guide lists those 24, each with Pocketpair's own description, plus two more that Pocketpair's PvP page mentions and six that appear only on its REST settings page, and shows how to set them by hand.
Checked against Pocketpair's server guide for 1.0.4 and Palworld 1.0.5, October 2026.
How to set one
- Open the Console tab, press Stop and wait for Offline. Palworld writes its settings back to the file on shutdown, so a change made while it runs is lost.
- Open the Backups tab and press Create backup if you have not made one lately.
- Open the File Manager and go to
Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/. - Open
PalWorldSettings.ini. All the settings are one line,OptionSettings=(...), with comma-separatedKey=Valuepairs. - Find the key on that line and change its value in place. On a server we checked, a fresh
OptionSettingsline already held 122 keys. Every key listed below was on it exceptAllowConnectPlatform, which Pocketpair marks "Not available in this version", so do not add that one. - Save the file and press Start.
True and false values are written True and False. When you later press Save settings in the World Settings tab, it leaves keys it does not list as they are. One mistake in the line can make the game fall back to its defaults silently, so change one key at a time.
Performance and server management
bAllowClientMod is the one most people need. Palworld 1.0 mods: what works on a server explains where it fits. Pocketpair's list also contains AllowConnectPlatform, marked "Not available in this version", and says to use CrossplayPlatforms, which the Startup tab sets as Crossplay Platforms.
Features and Pal spawns
Pocketpair's 1.0.3 notes say bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp "disables the suppression of enemy camp spawns near player base camps". On bInvisibleOtherGuildBaseCampAreaFX, its PvP page uses False to make other players' base areas visible.
Stats, respawns and fishing
The tab already has the fifth stat switch, Work speed stat points. For DenyTechnologyList, Pocketpair's configuration page gives the example DenyTechnologyList=("PALBOX", "RepairBench")) (as printed, with a second closing bracket that looks like a typo), and its PvP page shows a longer list ending in "GrapplingGun" and "GuildChest". Both point to Pocketpair's own page of technology IDs.
PvP rewards
Two more from the PvP page
Pocketpair's PvP page uses two keys that its main table leaves out. bEnableDefenseOtherGuildPlayer is the third of its three PvP switches, beside bIsPvP and bEnablePlayerToPlayerDamage. bEnableAimAssistPad sits under "Disable Gamepad Aim Assist", where the page says "When set to False, aim assist is disabled for players using controllers." Pocketpair labels PvP a trial feature that support does not cover.
Voice chat, Global Palbox switches and guild limits already have rows in the tab, as Proximity voice chat, Global Palbox saving and Guild size. Pocketpair's 1.0.4 notes also add a World Settings option for fish behaviour in the fishing minigame, but its page does not give that key's name yet, so we do not list it.
Six more from the REST settings page
Pocketpair's REST API page for the server settings (version 1.0.4) returns a handful of keys that its configuration table does not describe. It gives only a type for each, with no explanation, so we cannot tell you what they do. They were all on the fresh OptionSettings line we checked.
Leave them as they are unless Pocketpair documents them. The same page also lists bEnableNonLoginPenalty, which the tab shows as Offline penalty, and again gives no description.
