Set up the Guns, Cars and Morph server
Install the Guns, Cars and Morph modpack on a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge server from the Modpacks tab, with its loader, memory and disk needs.
Guns, Cars and Morph is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge modpack by the CurseForge author kesselot. Its page describes it as a relaxed tech and fantasy pack with guns, vehicles, mutant mobs and the ability to morph into the mobs you slay, with minimal changes to vanilla content. You install the server from the Modpacks tab, using the pack's CurseForge server pack.
Checked against GunsCarsAndMorph 2.1.1 (the CurseForge file dated 2 October 2026) on Forge 47.4.10 and Minecraft 1.20.1, October 2026.
What the pack needs
- Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.10. The server pack's
variables.txtnames both. Minecraft 1.20.1 runs on Java 17, which the panel picks for you. - Memory. The pack's page gives no RAM figure, and the server pack holds 33 mod jars. Your plan sets the RAM, so see how much RAM a Minecraft server needs and the Minecraft plans.
- Disk space. The server pack is a download of about 223 MB and unpacks to about 230 MB.
- The same pack version for players. Players install GunsCarsAndMorph 2.1.1 from the CurseForge app.
The server pack's mods folder includes Immersive Vehicles, TaCZ, Superb Warfare, ParCool, Identity and Mutant Monsters. The pack's page names Morphs, Guns (TaCZ and Superb Warfare) and Movement (ParCool) as its main features.
Install the server
- Open your server and choose Modpacks under Content in the left rail.
- Above the search box, press the CurseForge chip, then search for
Guns, Cars and Morph. - Pick Guns, Cars and Morph by kesselot and press Install. A different pack called Yomi Kivi Camo - Guns, Cars, Morph is not this one. The popup says it reinstalls your server with the pack and names Forge and Minecraft 1.20.1.
- Leave Take a backup first ticked. Your current world is replaced by the pack's. Tick Start the server when it's ready if you want it to start itself, and tick I agree to the Minecraft EULA if the popup shows it.
- Press and hold Hold to Install and reinstall until it fills, then wait for the install to finish.
The pack ships no Forge files of its own, so the install reads variables.txt and sets up Forge 47.4.10 itself.
First start
Press Start on the Console tab. If the EULA has not been accepted yet, the panel asks you to accept it first. The server is up when the console prints a line containing For help, type. Your address is in the left rail under Server address. Connect to your server for the first time covers adding it in Minecraft, and joining a modded server from a launcher covers the client side.
The pack does not ship a server.properties, so the install writes a minimal one and Minecraft fills in the rest on the first start. Once that has happened, open Config Editor if you want to change Difficulty, Player slots or the Server list message.
Common problems
- A player cannot join. Check they run the same pack file on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge, then compare their mod list with the server's
modsfolder. - The install stops while unpacking. Your plan's disk may be too small. Check Disk Analyser, clear space and install again.
- The server lags. Watch the RAM card on the Console tab and the TPS reading in the left rail. Why is my server lagging has more.
- The server crashes at boot. Find and read a crash report shows how to name the mod at fault.
Installing a pack reinstalls your server. If you have a world you care about, keep Take a backup first ticked.
