Install Enchanting Infuser on Minecraft

Install Enchanting Infuser 26.3.0 on a NeoForge or Fabric 26.3 server with Puzzles Lib, then set bookshelf, repair and cost rules in the config.

Updated 4 min read

Enchanting Infuser adds a new enchanting table where you choose the exact enchantments you want at fair prices, without random rolls. It comes in two tiers, a basic infuser and an advanced one that can also edit enchantments already on an item. The mod must be on the server and in every player's game, and it runs on NeoForge and Fabric.

Checked against Enchanting Infuser 26.3.0 on NeoForge and Fabric with Minecraft 26.3, October 2026.

What it needs

Enchanting Infuser is a mod, not a plugin, so Paper and Purpur servers can't load it. Its 26.3.0 builds need these libraries:

  • NeoForge: Puzzles Lib.
  • Fabric: Puzzles Lib, Fabric API and Forge Config API Port.

Minecraft 26.x runs on Java 25, which the panel picks for you. Forge builds stop at Minecraft 1.20.4. To change loader or version, use JAR Manager under More: pick the loader under Server software, the version under Minecraft version, then press Apply change. The loader and version guide has the steps, and you should leave Take a backup first ticked in the confirmation window.

Install it

  1. Open Mods under Content and keep the Modrinth chip selected in the source chip row at the top of the tab. The Game version filter starts on your server's version.
  2. Search for Enchanting Infuser. Several add-ons use the name, so pick the one by Fuzs.
  3. Press Install. When the "Needs" window lists the libraries above, press Install all.
  4. Restart from the Console tab.

Check the Installed view afterwards. Each mod should show without a Failed to load badge.

Players need it too

Modrinth marks the mod as required on both the client and the server, along with its libraries. Players install the same versions for their loader. Join a modded server from your launcher covers the player side. If versions differ, players see the error in Fix the mismatched mod channel list error.

Crafting the infusers

The recipes ship in the mod. The basic enchanting infuser is crafted with a book, two amethyst shards, three crying obsidian and an enchanting table. The advanced one swaps the shards for netherite ingots and the table for a basic infuser. Bookshelves around the infuser unlock higher levels, the same as a vanilla enchanting table.

Settings

Server rules live in enchantinginfuser-server.toml. On Fabric it appears in the config folder after the first start. On NeoForge, the documentation says a copy in the serverconfig folder inside your world folder overrides the one in config, so check that folder too. Stop the server before editing the file in the File Manager. Each tier has its own section, normal_infuser and advanced_infuser, with these keys:

  • maximum_bookshelves: bookshelves needed for maximum-level enchantments. The default is 15, and it is fixed at 50 when Apotheosis is installed.
  • allow_modifying_enchantments: UNENCHANTED, ALL or FULL_DURABILITY. The basic infuser defaults to UNENCHANTED, the advanced to ALL.
  • allow_books: whether books can be enchanted. Off for the basic infuser, on for the advanced.
  • allow_repairing: NOTHING, TOOLS_AND_ARMOR or EVERYTHING. Repairs cost levels.
  • allow_anvil_enchantments: allows enchantments normally only an anvil can add, such as Sharpness on an axe.

Each tier also has a costs section whose maximum_cost defaults to 30 and scales that tier's prices.

Updating

Press Check for updates in the Installed view. It only looks: if newer builds exist, the button becomes Update all (N), which asks you to confirm, and a row with a newer build gets its own Update button. Use either one, then restart the server.

Common problems

  • Too many results: pick the entries by Fuzs. Names such as "Add Treasure Enchantments" are separate add-ons for this mod.
  • The server stops at startup: open the Console and read the last lines. A missing library is the usual cause. Fix mod and plugin errors on Minecraft covers reading the log.
  • Players can't join: they are missing the mod or one of its libraries.
