Get the Islander's Tool Belt in Palworld

Where the Islander's Tool Belt schematic can come from, what its carry and work speed effects do and the materials to craft it, checked against 1.0.5.

Updated 3 min read

The Islander's Tool Belt is an Epic accessory that raises how much you can carry and speeds up your work. Since Palworld 1.0 you craft accessories from schematics, so this guide covers what the belt does, where its schematic can come from and what you need to craft it.

Checked against Palworld v1.0.5 (Pocketpair's latest patch notes, 15 September 2026), October 2026.

What the belt does

The Palworld wiki and paldb.cc agree on its two effects: Max Carrying Capacity Lv. 4 and Speedy Worker Lv. 4. Both describe it as an accessory that greatly raises carrying capacity and significantly increases work speed. The wiki gives no percentages, and only paldb.cc lists values, so this guide does not quote them.

How accessories work in 1.0

Pocketpair's 1.0 notes say accessories are now crafted from schematics, and that "Schematics can be obtained at a low rate from treasure chests, Ancient Ruins, large-scale oil rigs, and more". The notes also say Ancient Ruins were added across the world, and that exploring them and playing their minigames can earn schematics.

The wiki says the belt cannot be bought from a merchant and lists no enemy that drops it. Its page notes that the belt's schematic page does not exist yet, so the wiki does not say where the schematic is.

Where the schematic comes from

Only paldb.cc names places for the Islander's Tool Belt Schematic, and they fit Pocketpair's categories:

  • an Ancient Ruin cave entrance, with Unthawable Lake listed beside it
  • the Sunreach treasure chests
  • the large chest on an oil rig

paldb.cc lists the Ancient Ruin as a guaranteed find and the chests as low-chance. Because this is one source, this guide quotes no drop percentages or map coordinates, and a patch can move a drop. Confirm the spot against a current database before you set out.

Craft the belt

paldb.cc says that with the schematic in your inventory the recipe unlocks. The wiki and paldb.cc list the same materials:

  • 20 Refined Ingot
  • 40 Leather
  • 35 Paldium Fragment
  • 30 Ancient Bark

They also agree you can craft it at the Production Assembly Line, the Production Assembly Line II, the Advanced Workshop or the Ancient Workbench.

Tip

The recipe needs 40 Leather and 30 Ancient Bark, so gather those first. Then you can craft the belt the moment the schematic drops.

On a hosted server

The belt is part of the base game, so your server needs no mod for it. The World Settings tab has no setting for schematic drops. For the rates it does control, see Palworld server settings explained.
