RuneScape: DragonwildsTroubleshooting
Find Your Dragonwilds Server Logs
Download the Console log, or open the game's full RSDragonwilds.log in the File Manager, and know which one to send with a support ticket.
When a RuneScape: Dragonwilds server misbehaves, the log is where the reason is. You have two views of it: the short plain-English version in the Console, and the game's own full log file in the File Manager. This guide shows both, and which one to use for what.
Checked against RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0.1, October 2026.
What the Console shows
Dragonwilds' own log is long and technical, so the Console hides most of it and keeps a short list of plain-English lines, such as World loaded., World saved (...) and Your server is online - players can join now. A real error still shows, in red. RuneScape: Dragonwilds getting started lists the lines and what they mean.
For most problems this is enough. Look for red lines, and for the line starting RuneScape: Dragonwilds version, which tells you the build your server runs.
Download the Console log
The file you download is what the Console showed, with the colour codes removed.
- Open the Console tab.
- Click Download Log at the top right. On a phone it's the download icon.
- Pick how far back to go:
- Last 1 minute, Last 5 minutes, Last 30 minutes or Last hour
- Earlier boots (7 days), which gives the last hour plus the first and last lines of every start in the past week
The download comes from the panel's own recording, so it reaches back before you opened the page. Clear Console only empties the view on your screen. The recorded log is kept, and Download Log still has everything.
Find the game's full log file
The full Unreal Engine log, with the lines the Console hides, is a file on your server.
- Open the File Manager.
- Go to
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/. - Open
RSDragonwilds.log. Double-click it to read it in the panel, or select it and click Download to save it to your computer.
The log holds the whole session since the last start. Read it from the top for the game version, then from the bottom for the most recent trouble. Each restart starts a new RSDragonwilds.log and keeps the previous run's log in the same folder, renamed RSDragonwilds-backup- followed by the date and time, such as RSDragonwilds-backup-2026.10.29-08.54.15.log.
How to manage your server files covers opening, editing and downloading files.
The game's log is full of harmless warnings and errors during a normal play session. A line with the word Error in it isn't a fault by itself. Look for what changed in the lines just before your server stopped.
Which log to send to support
Send both when you open a ticket:
- The Last hour download from the Console, taken straight after the problem.
- The
RSDragonwilds.logfile from the File Manager, if the server is still running or has just stopped.
Add what you changed just before it started going wrong. If you restarted the server since the problem, the log you want is the newest RSDragonwilds-backup- file, because the restart started a new RSDragonwilds.log.
The game's own log file contains your join password, which the Console hides. Don't paste that file into a public chat or forum. A support ticket is fine.
If the file isn't there
- No
Logsfolder - the folder only appears after the server's first start. Press Start, wait forYour server is online - players can join now.and openRSDragonwilds/Saved/again. - The Console looks empty - Download Log comes from the panel's own recording, so pick Last hour to see what was recorded.
