Install Repurposed Structures on your server
Install Repurposed Structures 7.8.4 on a NeoForge 26.3 server, find its new structure variants with /locate and know where its settings live.
Repurposed Structures takes vanilla structures and adds new variants of them, such as a Jungle Fortress, biome-themed villages, mansions, mineshafts and outposts. It adds no blocks or mobs, and its wiki says it can run entirely on the server, so players with an ordinary game can still join.

Pick the right project
The author publishes two Modrinth projects. The Loader filter in the Mods tab starts on your server's loader, so a NeoForge or Forge server lists only the first and a Fabric server only the second:
- Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge for NeoForge and Forge servers.
- Repurposed Structures - Fabric for Fabric servers. It needs Fabric API and MidnightLib.
Version 7.8.4 has builds for Minecraft 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge. Older builds, version 7.7.6 for 26.2 and 26.1 and 7.5.22 for 1.21.1, exist on both projects. For 1.20.1, version 7.1.25 exists for both Fabric and Forge. No file on the Neoforge/Forge project is tagged Forge for anything newer than 1.20.1, so a Forge server cannot run this mod on a newer version. This guide used NeoForge 26.3.
Switch the server to NeoForge 26.3
- Open JAR Manager, under More in the left rail.
- Set Server software to NeoForge and Minecraft version to 26.3, then press Apply change.
- Leave Take a backup first ticked, press and hold Confirm & reinstall, and wait for the console to finish.
The panel chooses Java 25 for 26.x. Your world is kept, but configuration files may be reset. Change your Minecraft version or mod loader has the full steps.
Install it
- Open the Mods tab under Content and keep the Modrinth chip selected.
- Search for Repurposed Structures and press Install on Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge. The NeoForge 26.3 file lists no dependencies.
- On a Fabric server, install Repurposed Structures - Fabric instead. The window lists what it needs, so choose Install all.
- Go to Console, press Start and accept the EULA prompt the first time.
Find the new structures
The mod adds its structures to world generation. To see them from the start, set World folder in the Config Editor to a new name, press Save changes and restart, which starts a new world.
The mod's wiki lists the families: abandoned camps, villages, dungeons, mineshafts, mansions, monuments, ancient cities, Nether and Overworld cities, bastions, ruins, the Jungle Fortress, End ruined portals, outposts, temples, pyramids, shipwrecks, strongholds, witch huts, igloos and wells.
As an operator, ask the game where one is. The structure names match the files inside the jar, for example:
/locate structure repurposed_structures:fortress_jungle/locate structure repurposed_structures:mansion_oak
Turn structures off or change rates
Since Minecraft 1.18.2 the mod's structures are datapack data. The wiki points to a config datapack on the project's GitHub releases, with instructions for turning structures off or changing spawn rates, and says to put the edited datapack in your world's save folder. Install a data pack on your Minecraft server shows where it goes. The release page lists a separate config datapack for each game version, so download the one for 26.3, named Repurposed_Structures-Config_Datapack-26_3-v66.zip, from the 4.0.0 release. Upload the zip as it is, without extracting it, to the datapacks folder inside your world folder (world/datapacks unless you renamed the world) in the File Manager and start the server: the console logs that it found a new data pack and is loading it, and datapack list shows it enabled. The console may also log an "Error reading pack metadata" warning for this zip, and the pack still loads.
One setting stays in a normal config file: whether the mod imports modded loot into its chests. On NeoForge the jar registers repurposed_structures-neoforge/modded_loot.toml in the config folder. The option is importModdedItems, and blacklistedRSLoottablesFromImportingModdedItems lists loot tables to leave alone. Stop the server before you edit it in the File Manager.
Common problems
- The server stops and names
midnightliborfabric-api. Install the missing mod from the Mods tab on a Fabric server. - No new structures near spawn. Use
/locateto find the nearest one, or start a fresh world. - Wrong loader build. The Fabric project does not run on NeoForge, and the reverse.
- Other load errors. Fix Minecraft mod and plugin load errors shows how to read the log.
